Istanbul Medical Service provides medical assistance and healthcare coordination for seafarers, crew members and cruise guests at Turkish ports. When a crew member becomes ill or injured, IMS can coordinate access to appropriate healthcare providers, medical transportation, diagnostic services and follow-up. We can also support communication with authorized vessel representatives, employers, insurers and assistance companies, as well as return-to-vessel, fit-to-travel or repatriation planning when medically appropriate.
Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) services can be coordinated in Turkey for seafarers and crew members starting new employment or returning to duty. Depending on applicable occupational, employer or flag-state requirements, examinations may include clinical assessment, laboratory investigations and other required tests. Examinations, reports and certificates must be performed or issued by appropriately authorized healthcare professionals and facilities. Istanbul Medical Service can coordinate appointments, documentation and related logistics.
